2016 Lent Devotional

In Section 4, The Power of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Denison highlights seven illustrations of the Holy Spirit. I have artistically rendered these seven symbols as they correspond with each section of the devotional. The foundation of these illustrations is a triangle. This triangle represents the Holy Spirit as it relates to the Trinity; God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Most of my life, I only knew the Holy Spirit as my moral guide, an indicator of right and wrong. It wasn’t until later that I discovered I could live every day with the work of the Holy Spirit present in my mind and my reality. Each illustration moves beyond it's triangle to illustrate this point. He is more than what we can define in our own terms. He is more than our triangles. I pray that these illustrations might help you to discover how the Holy Spirit is more present and more active in your life than you previously knew him to be.
